These babies need help!
We are trying to raise money for these two rescue puppies because they got returned to the breeder. The breeder brought them to us and now we are trying to save their lives!

Liver shunts usually have serious and sometimes fatal outcomes for dogs. A liver shunt, or a portosystemic shunt, is a normal blood vessel that in the womb bypasses liver tissue, allowing the motherĂ¢??s system to filter out toxins for the developing baby. In some animals, however, the shunt remains open after the animal is born, compromising its liver function, slowing growth, and eventually resulting in death of many affected animals.(Taken from livershunt.com)

The University of Tennesse, Knoxville has developed the safest surgical procedure for helping fix the shunt! With normal surgery these babies have a higher mortality rate, longer recovery, and a chance of the procedure not working!

With Dr. Tobias, and the University of Tennesse Knoxville, these babies have the best possible chance at survival! They will have little to no time trying to recover, the chance of surviving the surgery goes through the roof, and a high possibility of coming off all the meds we have them on! We have spoken with her staff and they are very eager to help! We just need to raise the money so we can get these babies what they need!
